EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT/
SCHOOL READINESS FUNDING

Uplift Therapy is passionate about supporting children in educational settings, and can assist with curriculum and classroom planning. We are able to provide assessment and intervention into schools on a casual, term by term or annual contracts. We love working in innovative and creative ways, so if your school or childcare/kindergarten has a need for external therapy support, give us a call and let's make a plan together!

Assessments

Funding Assessments: For children any age who require comprehensive assessment and reporting for funding applications and transition planning.

Transition Assessments: For children who may be transitioning to kindergarten or to school to provide families and educators with information about a child’s individual strengths and support needs. We are trained in the Monash ASD Supporting Successful Transition to ECEC, Primary and Secondary School Program.

Intervention Services

We can provide a range of intervention services including:

  • Providing allied health services as a multidisciplinary team for kindergartens under Department of Education School Readiness Funding. If your kindergarten would like support, call to make a time to meet with Steph and Zach about designing a package for your budget.

  • Short term goal-directed individual sessions

  • Training to teachers and assistants to implement programs or support children with their learning and attention needs within the classroom. We love nothing more when teachers or assistants tell us they now feel confident supporting their kids and don't need us, that means we have done our job!

  • Development of written programs for teachers, assistants, and parents to assist implementation of therapy strategies.

  • Parent education sessions such as workshops or information nights. We have had nothing but awesome feedback about our workshops run at schools around the region, covering topics such as School Readiness, Sensory Processing and Emotional Regulation, and Sensory Space Design and Programming.
